About Soraiya
Soraiya Kara owns and operates POSabilities. A natural-born organizer with a lifelong passion for finding new ways to simplify and organize, Soraiya will empower you to make positive changes happen.
With more than 10 years of professional organizing, decluttering, and time management experience, Soraiya credits much of her success to the unique, customized solutions she develops for each client. She has earned an enviable reputation for systemizing procedures and increasing efficiency in both residential and corporate settings.
Experience that matters
Soraiya established POSabilities in 1998 and, before that, worked for several years in marketing and client services in the financial planning field.
Soraiya has been a regular guest speaker at IKEA and now teaches “Organizer to the Rescue” for Coquitlam Continuing Education. She also presents customized workshops to smaller study groups and venues.

She has spent much time volunteering in her community. Her experience includes developing programs and working with educational and health groups on such issues as family violence, youth health, substance abuse, and social welfare and security. She has also worked on the community crisis line and as an education board convenor.
Soraiya majored in psychology at Simon Fraser University and studied business and marketing at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Her education, coupled with her experience in client service, marketing, and the financial planning field provide an excellent foundation for her work as a Professional Organizer.
Solving organizing challenges with her clients is a pleasure for Soraiya. Through her work with a variety of organizing problems, Soraiya has developed her unique methodology. Soraiya is continually seeking new and different ways to manage time and space, providing her clients with the most efficient and up-to-date organizing solutions.
What can you expect when you work with POSabilities?
Soraiya both manages her business and rolls up her sleeves to provide hands-on organizing help. She also works with a team of experts including designers and other industry professionals, all of whom share her level of client commitment.
After working with Soraiya I find that I view space utilization in a whole new way. She showed me ways to make small spaces "big" spaces, a benefit that stayed with me long after she had finished working with me. Now years later, much to my delight, I have created several "big" spaces on my own! I recommend working with her. You'll never view space the same.
Soraiya's method works because she spends time getting to know each client. She will assess your needs and objectives, and then customize a detailed action plan for you.

Soraiya is an active member of the Professional Organizers in Canada Association (POC), and serves as Vice Chair on the executive committee of the BC Chapter.
POSabilities clients have made major life changes as a result of implementing the principles developed by Soraiya.
Past clients include photographers, graphic designers, personal chefs, teachers, communications and technology companies, as well as relocating families. POSabilities operates out of Vancouver, BC, but provides service throughout Canada and United States.
